The Final Piece
I’ve used more paint to erase than to describe
I hate what I’ve done. I realised I made the transition from illustrator to artist. starting with an illustrators mind and plan. Then I decided to use paint but still kept to the original plan. Resulting in a messy and chaotic painting. So I’ve decided to white out all hte figures I’ve painted. and now I will go for free colours and patterns, inspiration coming from Nancy graves and Gerhard Richter.

I let go of my fears of mistakes and hopes for perfection… and had fun with the paint!
I decided from early on that I was going to stick to what I know best - Pen line illustration. which consequently meant no colour. After briefly delving into a small trial with oils, I quickly dismissed it.
But today after playing around on photoshop and asking for second opinions, I realised there is no choice but to face my fears. This painting without colour would be as empty as not touching the canvas at all.

CHANEL W/F 2012 show was all based on crystals, from the set, to the jewelery to the garnments. It’s a good thing I decided not to persue the Crystal landscape aesthetic.
